That is almost a 1 GHz OC at 0.1v below stock vCore. I'm using a crappy P4 550 stock HSF at only 1600 RPM.

This is what my RAM can do at 2.2v:

sorry about the res in that pic. Was on a 14" CRT while my TFT was being RMA'd

Wow that is seriously impressive mate, seems the budget chips to watch at the moment. Can you run a few more benchies lke SPI or 3DMARK please? :)

Rich.

EDIT - Sorry, just seen SPI, page loaded slow, nice score mate. :)

@Richdog mate: Super Pi above...it was posted as a link, rather than with tags ;)

I'll post some 3D benchies when i have time.

@maddness: I'm on 0602 right now, but the BIOS needs some work on it. It's really flaky, unstable and unpredictable. Yesterday it wouldnt even get into windows at 370 x 7, and now it's been priming for ages at 400 x 7 @ 1.2v.

Overall, I think this board is excellent, but is let down by a VERY crappy BIOS. Hopefully ASUS engineers will sort it out soon.

It can OC 1 GHz below stock vCore...with proper cooling (high end air like a big typhoon) I'd reckon it could easily do 3.5 GHz, but you'd run out on FSB on the MoBo before the chip runs out of steam...the 7x multiplier is too low :(

Great results Kitt (XS k.i.t.t??). Good to see that the lower end of the conroe phenomenon are clocking aswell as the e6600+. I am worried about the intel dividers too, hopefully dfi will release a decent board with high fsb to compensate.

Pretty sure it's the same guy

Yeah tis, just saw his post of this over there too :)

Anyway really nice overclock with a stock P4 cooler! Get a Thermaltake BT and go mad

Good to see 1ghz ocs on the budget core 2. The main problem is always gonna be the FSB according to everything seen so far on the budget chips. You're just paying for the multiplier with the higher models...but that's gonna mean you can push your CPU more using the same fsb.

Don't know the stock time for sure, but my benching partner with an identical rig bar the ram mentioned 31 seconds :)

I'd stay away from the P5W DH MoBo tbh....it's very weird.

Mine primes all day at 400 x 7, but i can't bench a single FSB higher :(

Some mobos do 450 MHz FSB unmodded, and others wont even do 400 MHz with mods....

I'm looking forward to the RD600.

A little 3DM05

Everything under stock cooling. Once I get it back under water, i bet 12k shouldn't be a problem :D
