I think it's because you get more memory bandwidth? Although the difference that you notice will be negligible. i.e it will only show up in benchmarks, not day to day usage.

someone correct me if i'm wrong.

You should be proud of your temperatures. My 6600 will do 3.2ghz no problems but the idle temp alone is 68c... and that is at stock voltage. :rolleyes:

I've remounted the freezer pro several times so my conclusion is bad heatpipes. Nevertheless... my tuniq is on the way to me tomorrow! :D

maybe your cpu cover is concaved as most intels are
and u rarley get bad heatpipes
