hi guys hope u can help, just got a new rig:
amd phenom 11 x 4 965be rb-c3
gigabyte ga-ma785gt-ud3h mobo
4g ddr3@1333mhz
ati radeon 5770
tbh my tech knowlege is pretty much non-existent,so im hoping you can help. i have 3 x 80mm fans in the case as well as the usual fans on cpu/gpu/psu. still running the cpu at stock speed.
i downloaded a program called core temp to see how hot my cpu got, with an eye on ocing at some point. the highest temp reading i have recorded is 63c. surely this cant be right? the heatsink and fan on the cpu came supplied with the rig,im assuming its the one amd supply with the cpu. normal idle temp is around 32/34c. but after playing bc2 for a couple of hours core temp had recorded a high temp of 63c. amd say that the highest recommended temp. for this cpu is 62c. a friend told me that this cpu did run a bit hotter than the 955, but surely not this much? can anyone shed any light on this? id appreciate any advice you guys can offer.
