My brothers AX750 has packed up, asked me to check it out and discovered 3.3v has dropped down to sub 2.5v and causing motherboards surge protection to kick in. Checked PC via spare Seasonic PSU and everything's still working.

Corsair don't stock the AX750 anymore, and it's unlikely to be repaired going by previous experiences with them. Most likely will send AX760 as it’s the nearest in quality out of current line-up, on paper it sounds decent but is it any good in reality?

I remember reading some people moaning that recently Corsair supposedly had lost their way a bit with PSU quality - so hence I’m asking. :)

Sorry to hear that Sean. Looks like that 3.3v has gone out of its way. I suggest that you get it replaced via RMA by submitting a ticket at Corsair.force.com. You should be fine with replacement, AX760 (non "I") is one of our solid PSU available. And yes, they are OEM by Seasonic.

And no, there is no compromise in terms of our PSU build quality as of late. In fact, it keeps getting better as we move forward :)

Had an AX850 die on me too earlier this month. It's gone back for RMA, still waiting to hear back from corsair - it's been almost 3 weeks now. :(

Sorry about that. Send me your ticket # and I will personally look into it and I'll find out what's causing the delay.

Now that's good service. I've had two AX750's for three years now and still going strong. If they don't I'm pretty confident the 7yr warranty will be honoured.

Sorry to highjack this thread, but I also have an AX750 which i think is on its way out.

My old computer used to just freeze and I thought it was my overclock but I've now built a whole new pc and the only carry over item is the AX750 and its doing it as well.

I can see voltages in HWmonitor and they all look really low. Does this ok? http://imgur.com/F27vK0j

Brothers informed me that he sent an RMA request and is awaiting response. :)

Post the ticket # so I can help to push it through our system.

They are pretty low, but I wouldn't take those #s as true values. It is well known and proven that software/BIOS could always spit out unreliable readings. It is recommended and by far the most accurate way to measure your voltages on each rail is to use a DMM. Once you get the reading from each rails, find out if any of the +12v, +5v, and +3.3v rails is running out of ATX spec (+/- 5%)

Is the new build also Overclocked? or is it running on stock settings?

Checked the volts with a MM and a spare molex, all seems ok there.
12v indicates as 11.9
5v indicates as 4.9

Will keep looking to see whats wrong, but the psu is the only old part. I'll maybe install my spare RM650 i have for another build, but i just dont like the cables on it, far to stiff.

Thanks though Greybeard

This is the kind of service that makes me like company', so much better than Razer or Roccat (Personal experience) or from Gigabyte (that poor guy with the Laptop)!

I hope my evga 1300 g2 lasts that long too, and it has 10 years of evga warranty ;)

Forgot to register mine so missed out on the 10 year warranty and got 3 years instead :( and the warranty sticker fell of so not sure where I stand, still got the box and that sticker though.

He's had an email informing the AX750 has been replaced with another AX750 which has already been shipped.

Super quick turn around which is great, but hasn't the AX750 been EOL for absolutely ages?
