wow that's a surprise. RMA dept is usually on point when informing customers regarding part replacement. That's good news, your brother got a better PSU at the end
Got my AX850 from that retailer that rhymes with pan.
4 years into use and it breaks down.
Made me wait 6 weeks until finally offering me a RM gold version as a replacement as they claimed this model was no longer made and could not supply any other alternative.
I said no so they then offered a refund of £67 - appalling for a £130+ psu.
