Corsair Crystal Series 280X, any good?

just how the case should have been set up haha . they should have pre-installed the rear fan at the bottom personally !
I meant the whole "Blow the Evolv X away for airflow".

I do get what you mean though. We have a 680X in the office and I personally like it. Strangely enough, it's one of those cases that looks a lot better in white than it does in black. Would have been nice to see a Gunmetal Grey though as I have a particular soft spot for Grey cases...

does the white version have the White LL ? guessing from Product pictures its the Black versions... why a PM would allow this to roll out :(

I had the Evolv.... DONT DO IT!!!!! a gimp has more breathing space with its mask sealed!!!!

has to run 3x £20 fans and god aweful ekwb se360 to cool an i7 8700k .

if you grab the 280x and stick two fans at the bottom, you'd have massive positive pressure , less dust and will expel hot air nicely out the top and rear :D

its also quite tall due to being able to house 40mm rads up top and psu at the bottom. glass is quite dark to

Think I have the case, one in sig, the airflow seems perfectly fine, temps are great.

yours is ATX and evolv generally known to be poor with airflow. New version is better but LOT of threads with guides to modding the cases from increasing the gap at the front and top of the cases. few also use card to cover gaps up top to stop air re-circulation

The one I have has gaps in the side at the front which would be able to pull plenty of airflow through, my GPU doesn't really get over 70 degrees @ 2GHz and the CPU is running at 66 at 1.4V 3.8GHz and I'd say given previous temps I've experience these seem pretty good to me for the specs in sig.

just to add to cents , the 680x is an awful chassis for airflow despite its marketing the old style 540 was better in this regard. generally a poor thought out case

Easy to fix, install fans at the bottom . should have had two basic fans installed here . Clean airflow from the bottom to the exhaust points

Just getting setting up in the 680 and so far getting slightly better results than the evolv x with one rear and 2 roof exhaust
Will try adding some in floor but could be issue due to gpu but will be back after testing
Build was about the same as in the evolv x but dual chamber nice to keep the case looking neater
