I might give it a go after my holiday as I had couple of spare viper fans and apache fans here in my cupboard!

These H100 should be good for upcoming AMD Bulldozer! Can't wait for it!

What's the motherboard used for testing? Also, would you be selling them tested i5 2500K chips? I really want one those that does 5GHz

And, not bad for the H100. My Venomous X in Push/Pull gets the same temperatures with my i5 2500K at 4.7GHz!

That's would be £499.99 for that chip hehe (only joke!) I think ocuk use a sample chip from intel (not a oem or retail chip I reckon)

Wrong, we test the chips and the ones which get 5GHz (or whatever we used to list) were chip which easily achieved this.

testing done on a maximus.

the cpu wasnt a sample cpu, like i mentioend before. just a random OEM 2500k that a member of the warehouse picked and handed over to me.

lucky cherry one to get 5GHz no problem.

my old chip (retail one) cannot do 4.6GHz but my new chip (OEM one) can do 5.2GHz with ease.

A lot of 2500k are easy to get big clocks on. The best thing about the maximus board is that there are so many useful tools for overclockers to tweak settings.
The problem is that it costs a lot!

Yeah I was thinking that. I ended up ordering 4 of each but the Vipers are in a separate order so when the come I'll refuse delivery and ask them to be returned to sender.

Might get one of these anyone know 100% that it will fit in a coolermaster haf 912+.

ive done the measurements but the top of the case isnt flat.

It so sad that not many 2600K (The expensive premium chip) won't do 5GHz! (an extra £70 for no big clock is sound a rip off chip!)

I was only responding to the fact that Rossdh said Apaches have better static pressure. They don't.

Apaches are quieter, make less noise, move less air and require twice as much current (and thus wattage) to run at slower speeds.

And yes Vipers are noisier, but Apaches aren't that quiet either. At similar speeds they're probably quite similar.

Also, lets not forget that the figures I posted were from the Akasa website so who knows if the figures are anything like the actual values!

Rjk I don't suppose you could test the H100 Vs a real custom cooling kit, I think it would be quite close?, Challenge for you.

Turn off hyper threading then, That's what makes them unstable.

The website says its supported on LGA2011 (my next upgrade) but the manual only mentions upto LGA1366 (which is what I currently use).

Is this an error on the website or will you/corsair be providing (free?) LGA2011 kits nearer the time/when launched ?

Only got it today - despite paying for saturday delivery - they carded me but didnt ring the bell - had to make a 20 mile round trip to collect from the depot.

Looks a good product - but the two major negatives have somewhat taken the shine off it. Unlike the TRUE Copper it will be replacing
