Corsair H60 refurb, will it fit?

Do you have h60 blowing through the rad out the case of pulling it through?

I have the fan mounted on the back of the rad pushing air through the rad

I recommend these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/111105686391?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

Ive got 2 of these in my case and they are brilliant fans for the price, but they are only 3 pin making it a pain if you dont have any spare on your mobo unless you have an adapter

After some inspecting tonight i still think the stock corsair fan is to weak, going to look at a pull/push config to see if that improves it as well as moving the GFX card down 1 slot so its in the direct line of the front intake to help push the heat away from the back of the gfx card

Them fans look okay. What if I have h60 pulling cool air in. Front panel 120mm as intake and side panel as an exhaust? I don't mind running them 24/7 at full speed with my molex adaptor.

I just did a prime test and my CPU maxed at 67-69c which i suppose isnt that bad for a crappy cpu, But yeah that should work but ideally you want the air all going one way as side fans are not that great of extraction

I just googled good airflow for pc cases and it came up with some good diagrams and info

Yeah should be fine, like you said it wont be stressed out with games etc, the case is nice and big for air to circulate. If you do find that its still hot just use the side fan as a intake as well

So if i wanted to have 2 fans for h60 in.push pull do i need a y splitter??

Nah, I'm just going to connect my second fan for the h60 to a constant 12v supply, managed to get a corsair high performance 120 for £10 so I'll be using that to push then the fan that came with the h60 to suck

Not a clue dude, im just going to stick 2 on each side at each opposite corner, ive tested it all ready and its nice and firm

Sup, my second fan arrived today and damn does it make a difference over the one provided!

New fan is set to push as it has a higher CFM and higher RPM and the one provided which is lacking in both CFM and RPM is sucking

I used 2 screws on each fan, one on each opposite corner and is rock solid with no vibration etc if that is a problem simply use 2 normal fan screws on the sucking fan

Temps wise it use to idle around 45-50 now its idling around 35C! Bloody crazy

Looking good! So you've got the Corsair SP120 Quiet editions? I noticed you're only using 2 screws for each fan. Is it still secure? What fan is hooked into the CPU header and what one is running 100% all the time?

Here is mine, just ran OCCT CPU linpack for half an hour and peaked at 58 degrees. Very happy considering I'm using the H60 to exhaust. No need to get another fan then I reckon.

Tidied up the wires:

Although... I am so pleased with the H series I was thinking of getting a refurbed H80 for my i5 3570k rig @ 4.3GHZ. I wonder how it would do compared to a Thermalright Macho 120mm.

It's the corsair sp120 high performance version. The fan provided is still on the header which is at 100% and the new fan is running 100% as well, as for the screws using just 2 is enough to secure them

Now I want to tidy my cables up :(
