Corsair LAPDOG - Available to pre-order

Great idea, would love to have one as I use a TV for a monitor now and this logitech K400 is no good for gaming or long term use.

Here's hoping that other manufacturers see a market in this and give a bit of competition. Hopefully drag the prices down in the process.

I really enjoyed playing Battlefront using this setup sat on a couch in Vegas earlier this year, was exceptional playing the game in 4k on a 70 inch TV.

Still I am surprised at the price though.

I get the distinct impression that some of these manufacturers are milking the peripheral market to high heaven. Who would honestly sit on a couch and game (no offence to those who do) but personally I find a desk and chair far more comfortable, far easier to concentrate.

I concur with you on this, I just can't get into a game without sitting forward at a desk haha.

Sheeeesh, the profit on these must be about £90 per unit. Well done, Corsair.

Not quite as £109.99 = £91.65 excluding VAT.

Then OcUK have their profits. Maybe £10?

So that leaves £81.65. There will be a build/manufacture cost involved too, so maybe £50-£60 profit not, not £90 though.

That being said it is a unique product and nobody else offers anything similiar, Corsair have released a product that may fill a niche market, the thign is it is niche, so maybe Corsair are not expecting big sales volume, hence needs to make high profit levels per unit to cover the design and planning costs of releasing such a product to market.

Great idea, but mental price! :p

People can put together get a desk surface with wheeled legs from IKEA from about half the price of that! And it wouldn't move up and down like laying this on your lap :D

Considering the amount of pre-orders it's safe to say the price isn't really stopping people parting with their wonga. It's definitely one of the most innovative products Corsair have released in a while!

If someone made one for half the price that fitted any keyboard they would sell like hot cakes. The fact you have to have s corsair keyboard as well... I love my quick fire rapid too much to replace it
