Corsair MP510

[ubern00b]

Anyone know if this drive is discontinued? No stock anywhere and some sites do say "discontinued" but I know they sometimes say then when stock has no ETA.

Might be a stock issue. Corsair website says "Available in 2 to 3 weeks"

[ubern00b]

Said that for a while now which is why I ask. I shall be patient. Thanks!

[ZeroG]

Best thing would be to email Corsair and ask them directly.

I can see stock on other sites, but I can’t mention them here obviously.

The 960GB version seems to be out of stock in most places, I've seen stock of the others though.

[tamzzy]

just get the sabrent rocket?

As per above post from tamzzy, have a look at the Sabrent Rocket NVMe drives as a good alternative.

[ubern00b]

Looking into the Sabrent Rocket it also has a 5 year warranty provided you register it within 90 days so that's a tick. I cannot seem to find the statistic for how much data can be written before failure, I forget what the term is but it's a metric for MTBF. This will be used as a boot drive, to store Xbox Game Pass for PC games on, downloads etc so will be a fairly well used drive when it comes to writes. Might be useful to mention I am looking at the 1TB model.

@ubern00b sabrent rocket is a rebadged mydigitalssd sbx pro. So 1tb drive endurance is 1700tb. Similar to the mp510 960's drive endurance

Perfect, thanks for the info. Saves £30 too

Saves £30 too

And an extra 40gb space

Just bought the 960gb variant for £125. Read/Write times are insanely quick!

Debating buying another larger sized variant to replace a old HDD thats used mainly for media.
