I have a H100i which I've had working happily for over 12 months. Over the period of ownership, I've removed it 3-4 times for various reasons.

I transferred my rig into a new case yesterday and out of 8 screw holes on the H100i, I now only have 3 which bite when screwing to the chassis - its in for now but god only knows how long for and I'm using the screws provided.

Have you got a fix for this?
Is this an RMA job?

This is happening to mine too, but it is already a replacement which i received for a previous faulty h100i that i had to rma to corsair !

This happened to mine after just a few re-fits. I bought some nuts and bolts from B&Q and glued the nut on the back of the rad.

3 threads have gone on mine , can feel a forth about to stop biting , anymore and it just won't hold the weight as its all four threads closest together .

you could re tap the threads if there is no other option!
Not really. Once the hoe strips out it is too big for the correct size screw. Hole can be tapped for larger screw, but will probably eventually strip out again, If there is room for Nutsert, they might be an option. Sometimes a hole can be enlarged to install a pop-rivet. Then remove the pin and tap the hole .. effectively making a home-made Nutsert.

BUT we shouldn't have to do DIY jobs on units like this! They either need to improve the thread on the holes or mount a nut behind it.

good luck with this, i've since dropped everything corsair due to so many issues over the last 3-4 years.

Sure they eventually get it sorted, but i'd rather not have repeat issues in the first place.

Make sure you do an advance rma and get them to send you the postage label, amazing how many people they don't tell about this and they end up paying a fortune to post to the netherlands (although I think they have a UK dept now)

that's easier than bolting it? damn, would you guys RMA your laptops cos the fuse blew in the charger plug too? I know things should work, but there's nothing wrong with a little DIY if its the easiest way to go...

It's all very well retapping the whole to a different size but if the metal is that thin then this will keep happening and the hole is going to get bigger and bigger until you can't retap it anymore. Corsair needs to go back to their roots and start making quality stuff again instead of churning out mediocre products just to make a quick profit.

Really? Your comparing an AIO to a consumable? I'd be worried if someone tried returning an electrical item due to a fuse.

It's a design fault that needa ro be addressed!
