Cost efficient GPU upgrade?

What are the main differences between all the different brand and models of the 9070 and 9070xt? Some have quite a big price difference, is there a similar improvement in performance?

Not really a case of budget, more a case of getting value.

With the 9070, there's not much point buying a premium model, because you should just get the 9070 XT instead at those prices. I also would not want to buy one with the 16-pin, like Sapphire's Nitro or the Taichi.

From the 9070 cards available, I don't know what Acer's Nitro is like, it wasn't reviewed widely. The Prime models had good build quality, but again, the Evo wasn't available for review at launch.

No but if you're buying new buy from a legit source like ocuk so you don't get scammed

I'd disagree with my learned colleagues above and say don't buy XFX, they always seem to cheap out on cooling.

Xfx seem to have learnt their lesson with the 9000 series, they're also now using ptm7950 on the core (so are everyone else TBF). Xfx actually have one of the better lineups for temps:

Sapphire Pulse cards also use ptm7950.. my 9070 has never seen over 60c even in the heatwaves we have had, and its pretty damn quiet even when I have ramped up fan speeds to ~2500rpm.

With AMD I always go with Sapphire, they've just been doing AMD cards longer than any of the others

Only issue with Sapphire Pulse is if you need 3x Display Ports, you wont get them. Pulse cards have 2x DP and 2x HDMI but thats never been an issue for me running 4 displays anyway.

Still deciding, I know I'm going for the 7090xt, just deciding on the make. Just running some chores then will sit down and decide tonight.
