Costco receipt checking

The exit scanners arent just there for people using self service though are they as i'm sure your more than capable of working out ? , they are there to catch ppl exiting without paying, slipping items into other bags / pockets , transferring into tesco bags at checkout etc etc etc.

Seriously why are you so intent on pushing this, seems perfectly reasonable. Or were you on some ***** scouting mission and miffed you couldnt get away with it. Josticks for the climate camp, a tray of Pal for the dog on a string ?

Which bit of it do you find perfectly reasonable?

They asked to check goods against the receipt on their premise, perfectly reasonable to me.

I can only imagine one of the ways Costco can offer prices like the ones you've happily chosen to take part in , is extra security and lower shoplifting. Good work to Costco i say, thats what you agree to when stepping onto their premise, didnt read the conditions ? tough.

Intent on pushing what? I'm just replying to posts on a discussion forum, is there a problem with that?

Really ? you seem determined that people know how "wronged" you've been despite it been explained to you that its perfectly legal

Free The Costco 3 ! Free The Costco 3 !

Give me a bloody break

The thing is on beers and spirits at least, the normal supermarkets generally work out cheaper when they are offering their deals.

There weren't any terms and conditions on display at the entrance. Would you like to try again?

No, that's just how you have incorrectly perceived it.

despite it been explained to you that its perfectly legal

Wrong again. No one has provided any evidence of legality other than "it's company policy get over it!!!!111one"

the guys at the doors are doing the same thing as the scanners, making sure the items have been paid for

Not quite. The scanners don't detain me for 5 minutes while I go wandering back into the store looking for my friend with the exit pass.

Shut up, and stop moaning like a spoilt child

If in doubt, resort to personal insults. \o/ And I'm the one who "fails". :D

True, no ones posted the actual hard line of law, but its hardly a surprise all the same.

If you'd had such a problem with it, why didn't you refuse and insist the Police was called ? Of course that would have made whining at the Internet a bit tougher.

I'd suggest changing the thread title to "Spec me some common sense"

Exit pass? Oh, you mean the proof that you have purchased the items that you forgot . . . .

You could have left it there and left. Anyway, your fault if you didn't q for the excellent pizza. I recommend the BBQ chicken

As you are the one whining can you show us any definitive proof that anything unlawful took place or are you one of the "guilty unless proved innocent brigade"?

Hot dog and a soda with free refills for £1.50 or a jacket potato with two fillings (chilli and cheese nom nom nom) for £1.25. Rude not to.

I rest my case. You keep going on about whining but that is just the way you perceive it. Not my fault if you are brainwashed to assume that every time someone says something negative on the internet you assume he or she is whining/moaning/complaining.

You have accused Costco of breaking the law yet you have not shown which act they ate in breach of. I've tried doing a search but I either get taken to American sites or back to this thread.

I note your not particularly skill full avoidance of all the reasonable points people have put to you throughout this thread, hence the only conclusion, your determined to bitch and whine whatever is said.

But then again i think you are correct, after much deliberation I now realise you are indeed the Rosa Parks of our generation.

Thank you for finally standing up to the outrageous discrimination and low prices of Costco !

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts on behalf of all Chavs and Pikies !

I didn't forget anything for the items that I purchased ;)

Once again... You didn't purchase anything from costco. The items were the responsibility of your member friend who bought them on your behalf.

7. Only members with valid membership cards may purchase items at Costco, although we welcome two guests per cardholder they can't shop.

Then you could have removed the items that you paid for and left. ;)

Why on Earth would I want to remove the items belonging to a friend of mine whom has entrusted me with their care? ;)

Like I said earlier, I don't know yet and I'm looking into it. Perhaps it comes under Human Rights legislation. When I search I'm getting a lot on immigration which doesn't help unfortunately.
