Costco...

That's a great idea. Beats twiddling your thumbs while the tank fills up.

Every petrol pump I've used requires you to hold the handle on the nozzle..

I don't have my own pressure sensor, I just drive up to the air filling thing and use that to check them

Yep, that's what I gathered. I keep my own gauge in the car.

In the US there's a little latch that allows you to keep the fuel pumping even if you're not holding it.

There's also a nifty little device that you can get which in effect allows you to do the same thing.

Squeeze the trigger, slide it in, push the lock back and bobs your uncle. It'll pop undone when the pump senses the splashback

Then he seriously needs to grow up

Even his best mate knows how childish and easy to wind up he is?

Mine don't. Am I missing out?

Sorry, who are you to dictate who replies to your posts? If you don't like the answers you are given don't post in a public forum. The clue is in the word public.

By band of followers you mean anyone with half a braincell that disagrees with anything you say?

I will simplify this for you and bring it down to your level then:

1. Fox hasn't "taken issue" with your points, just answered them with concerns on how he would deal with it (remember, YOU asked for an opinion by posting on a PUBLIC forum)
2. He is also not the only one. Not all of those who agree with Fox are in "his loyal band"
3. You get nothing for free in this life. They do it because you will keep going back and spending money with them in the same way Fox goes to BMW.
4. Its not an error not checking tyre pressures for three months. Its laziness.
5. Rotating tyres has as may negatives as positives.
6. The fact you list points as to why your tyre was flat in the first place only highlight that you couldn't be bothered. Surely in a harsher climate you would check you tyres more often? Thats common sense, not awesomeness.

I see how badly you fail at personal insults, I'm sure Fox has been called a lot worse by his own family. Well done. You are quite right about feeding the troll. In this instance it is you.

I have to say mejinks, you really worked yourself up didn't you. Why would you get your feathers all ruffled up over something so tiny, unrelated to you and really quite worthless?

Is my failing at personal attacks a bad thing? Or are you trying to become the champion of attacks and I'm yet another soul devoured on your way to King of The Internetz.

<insert troll meme here>

It looked like your anger was triggered by RobRx-7's post. Keep in mind, as he said, he was typing that post immediately after a fuming argument with the specific goal to p me off (hence the 2 week old thread revival). So he may have embellished the negativity just a tiny little bit, as anyone would.

It was pretty funny because the entire thing was started by his usual negativity but this time it was one after another. He started his normal "why are you getting p'ed off" and my normal "what have I said to make you think I'm p'ed off." Yes completely childish. Then ended with me asking if he could find a single negative or flaming word that I have said in the entire conversation. His answer (surprisingly) was "no you haven't". Unfortunately he continued and I did get p'ed off and hence told him to bleep off and signed out of chat.

*Ricky Gervais voice* care somebody, oh please care, care.

jesus dont you look a ****

You try and act like somebody spending 30 seconds to check your tyres is a great reason not to shop around for the best price.

But when everybody calls you out on this and points it its due to lazyness you go off on one.

Didn't I just state that I shopped around for the best price.... yep. Try reading before you start throwing names about.

In fact I even said that in my original post but many seem to have ironically missed that. It was the lowest price I found and it was also found with no idea of the complimentary services.

Laziness. I think you could just as easily argue that it was a simple mistake that any new driver could have made. Especially with the highlighted geographic circumstances.

Who's next. Is there anyone else that feels like taking an uninformed dig because they didn't know the full story or didn't care to read properly? Maybe you want to just take a dig about something unrelated to the story, you know like spelling or attitude, because it's pretty hard to fault that it was an easy to make mistake once you read things properly.

Actually, instead of flat out insults and names why doesn't someone show a little humanity instead and post "This is a mistake that anyone could have made. The car being parked outside in the snow, in sub zero temperatures, for two days could easily have caused the pressure to dramatically drop to the point where you'd get a flat. Plus, it was three months into his first ever car. Admittedly in his first post he did say Discount Tire had the lowest price and that the free services were merely a bonus. Give him a break."

Go on, I know there's good in you. Surprise me.

*thinks to himself* Ah crap I'm in Motors.

you're a proper fruitloop arent you.

Nobody replies to your post so you bump it again and go off on another rant .. at yourself.
