Do you really need or want to go to Uni?
Do you really need or want to go to Uni?
I wouldn't bother doing a degree if it wasn't form a university in the Russell Group.
Waste of time and money.

Id much rather go to a Metropolitan Uni for example, one that is not full of "ya" people, if you get my jist.
History. I want to drop it because i don't want to be spoon fed a load of ****. If im being honest. Plus i couldn't care less about what they teach me
No offence but you sound like an idiot. Just get a job and goto part time courses.
KaHn
get off your high horse.
everyone else, thanks for the help/
What high horse?
hi all i could do with some help.
i have just started college , and took 4 a levels. Graphic Design, Photography, Media and History. As of today i have dropped history, partly due to the work, and partly due to my beliefs. Anyway thats besides the point. The teacher i spoke to about dropping history said i could be a bit thin for university if i drop , but as i understood it you needed 3 a levels, and the ones you took didn't matter. I say this as people say media, for example, isn't accepted at some places.
i have looked at UCAS but got no where. does anyone know if this is the case, or does it just go off UCAS points to get in?
forgot to say, i want to do either graphics or photography
Although if they think you're clever they'll let you in with less. I think my Uncle was offered one E for cambridge, which he got and was in LOL! I believed he'd read up on the professors main area of research and they both happened to be milkmen so they just talked about that stuff for the interviewGenerally the "elite" types like oxford and cambridge won't look at you unless you got fifty million A*'s at gcse and half as many A levels.
Whilst you might not get past the first stage of applications according to your GCSEs and predicted A2s, what's more important is probably your personal statement. If you can get to interview because they like what they read there then that's half way. Applications are basically entirely decided on the interview and what they thought of you in a tutorial-style situation.Generally the "elite" types like oxford and cambridge won't look at you unless you got fifty million A*'s at gcse and half as many A levels. But really I would not bother with league tables and such, just go and see them on an open day, talk to the lecturers. Ask some questions see if you will enjoy it.
