I've had several batteries from them and always look as you'd expect with all manufacturer seals etc on them. Never had an issue, and generally wouldn't recommend anywhere else.Are they quite well-known and trusted?

While technically AGM are better of a cat can handle an EFB you may as well save some money and just got another EFB I changed mine just last week after it started taking noticeable longer to start on cold mornings. When I reset the battery system the old battery was the original at 3255 days. How much better is a AGM going to be and is it value for money, I doubt it.A lot of VAG cars have a EFB battery from the factory rather than a AGM. AGM is a better battery and either way a new battery needs coded in but particularly changing to AGM as it changes the charging profile to suit AGM batteries.
