Could Low Battery Cause This Glow Plug Fault?

I guess I'm not too concerned, given it's a good brand. I came here to check if it was one that you guys had said to stay away from.

I'll see if there are other garages near me, but tbh that had the best google reviews, with many commenting on their honesty and trustworthiness. That's why I'm considering asking them about it.

My battery died in London over xmas (roomster 1.6tdi) my fault as i ignored sluggish turnover after not using for a few days , anyway i had to pay through the nose 120 for a Yuasa fitted ,more around the 70 mark on Tayna but hey ho its done , i always wait for the glow plug light to go out even though it doesn't take long but the plugs stay on post heating for a short while to reduce emissions on many diesels .so this fault doesn't surprise me because of lack of power after cranking .

I was thinking about this again and it reminded me of a chat with my bike mechanic, who I've known quite a while and trust. (He works in a shop, not just some guy) and I commented to him when he said he could get Product X for £Y and I commented I could get it online for cheaper, he had a moan about this was why shops are going out of business. My question then is, why do they pay more? Do shops/garages get locked into buying from one supplier?

A lot of VAG cars have a EFB battery from the factory rather than a AGM. AGM is a better battery and either way a new battery needs coded in but particularly changing to AGM as it changes the charging profile to suit AGM batteries.
While technically AGM are better of a cat can handle an EFB you may as well save some money and just got another EFB I changed mine just last week after it started taking noticeable longer to start on cold mornings. When I reset the battery system the old battery was the original at 3255 days. How much better is a AGM going to be and is it value for money, I doubt it.

Always use either Tayna or Battery Group who ever is cheapest both great service and either a Varta or Bosch battery.
