"Could not activate mobile data network" - New Orange phone error?

Still down here, usually its so reliable i thought it was my iPhone that was screwed. Glad i didn't go down the route of Reset All..

Does this happen often with Orange? First day on orange and having issues! I had issues with signal etc with Vodafone last week and ran away from them hoping Orange was a better choice!

First time I have ever had an issue with Orange and I've been with them for about five years.
 
My Desire will not connect to the mobile network. In settings the option is just greyed out and sits at 'turning on'.

Bloody Orange.
 
incidentally, I dropped my HTC Desire yesterday, I thought I would need to get it repaired, however, this thread has informed me it's a network related problem. NICE ONE d00dz.
 
Great! Still off for me!! I get some data at times but 90% of the time I'm totally dataless! Hope it gets sorted soon!
 
I rang Orange to check this morning and they had a recorded message stating that they had a known service issue with their GPRS.
LOL at talk of reflashing phones and things, why don't people start with the basics :p
 
Must admit I feel a bit of a fool as I also reflashed my phone ....a couple of times :).

Hope they get it sorted out soon.
 
Mine is back on this morning and working like a dream! I still find orange to have the best data network out of all the carriers and things go wrong sometimes but hey that's life.some of the posts I have read elsewhere about this have been hilarious - some people get incredibly worked up!
 
Well mines off for the first time today. I didn't get the outages people had before.

I'm guessing this has something to do with combining T-Mobile/Orange infrastructure?
 
Bin down most of the aft in Warrington. Just come back in the last hr so it seems to me that Orange have not yet ironed out all the issues.
