could you get by without the Internet in your job?

sitting here at working posting on my iPhone as our Internet is off for the day.

Our full system here is 100% Internet based so doing anything at all is very hard.

If your place of work lost connection for the day would it effect you? I'm so bored without it LOL

yes all our credit card transactions go through the net as well as a few other not so vital things.

No, we are an internet based company, all our software is on-line.

I'm an AV Technician so it's not essential for me, but sometimes it's the only way I can get hold of some things I use.

Well it would make my job a lot harder and a lot more expensive, and i'd probably get murdered by my team.
Apart from that, the company would go under devastating to the economy and the millitary would have a shortage of batteries.

I'm a programmer doing a mix of Excel VBA and asp based intranet development.

I certainly could work without the internet (It could even be said I'd get more done without places like this distracting me) although I do use it as a reference so I'd probably find it frustrating unless I was doing the sort of simple stuff where I don't need to look up how to do certain things.

Our internet went down Friday and yesterday, to be quite honest... I ran out of things to do very quickly. Our systems are all online in one respect or another.
