You technically aren't allowed to put soil in the green bin so there's no way it would be allowed in the other bin.

However I doubt anyone is going to check unless they are a real jobsworth

You can put pretty much anything you like in your non-recyclable/black bin. Paint tins, roofing felt, old car parts, bricks - everything goes in ours - I just make sure it's not too heavy to move - I don't want the refuse collectors putting their back out!

Ah its that time of year again is it? I can't find my bill atm I think I try and blank it out it cuts the amount of pain. I actually do work on council sites and the amount of profligacy is staggering, heating left on all weekend when no-one is there... check. Heat an entire warehouse for the sake of one tiny office in the corner... check. On all weekend naturally. I could go on.
