Couple dump their newborn IVF twins - because theyre girls!

Sorry but these people have no concept of life. It's selfish.
They're prepared to ruin two of their offsprings lives, two people, to have a kid.

Can it not be a crime to not have morals? or decency. There should be laws about this kind of stuff, if you're going to be a cruel person, you should be taken away from the privelidge of being alive.
They're going to be dead before the kid reaches his 20's, if they live a long life.

Makes me glad I finally got my wife pregnant so I can put some good into this world.

deportation tbh, theyr origionally from india, take their UK passports and get em shot out. Should be some kind of system were we ship our unwanteds out these days, like we used to do in britain's glory days

My grandfather is over 70 and next week he'll be a great-grandfather. I couldn't imagine him becoming a dad again - he's got prostate cancer, and that'll be just the start. I can't believe they let a woman of nearly 60 become a first time (?) mother, not only will she not be able to give her children the active life they deserve, but her age greatly increases the chances of them having Downs or similar. Dumping the babies just because they're girls is disgusting. People like that shouldn't be allowed to have children, and are robbing chances from poorer people who are unable to concieve and afford IVF.

Yeah, right! They haven't even broken any laws; just made a very wrong and immoral decision. If, by your logic, every single unwanted person were to be shipped abroad, it should start with all the english council estate chavs then first then.

yea they can go too.
I acknowledge no laws have been broken, but they are going to be offloading the kids for no real decent reason. get ******* shot of them, theres no place for morals like that in this country.

I am appalled by this, shocking behaviour.

They knew that what they were doing would be shunned in the UK hence going to India to do the dirty-deed, but then coming back to the UK to use our NHS and then abandoning the babies is something that should not be tolerated.

We have given them British Citizenship to abide by our way of life in this country, as they have shown a disregard for this they should have their citizenship revoked and deported, see where that gets them with all their money.

i'll take em no problem.

Seriously kids are great. Wish I could have more sadly I can't :(

I'm pretty sure child abandonment is a crime...

Regardless they should be deported, we don't want them here.

the babys have got off lightly.can you imagine growing up with parents with such scant regard for thire children.the mother should be made infertile to protect any future children being born to this self serving wicked couple...

read in metro this morning that this story was bs. apparently all parties involved have denied that they were ever abandoned or that social services were ever involved

Not quite.

A couple who allegedly dumped their newborn twins because they were girls are visiting them in hospital, it was confirmed yesterday.

The parents are being 'attentive to their needs' despite a report the girls were left at a Wolverhampton hospital following their birth by Caesarean section.

'Shortly after birth, the babies were transferred to a unit in Birmingham, closer to where their parents live,' said an NHS spokesman.

'The parents are visiting their daughters whilst they are being cared for in hospital and are attentive to their needs.

'We are not aware of a referral to social services.' Birmingham City Council also confirmed there had been no referral to social services.

Metro.

Birmingham City Council says that there had been no referral to social services, but in the original article:

Birmingham Council's social services department said it is investigating.

Metro.

So either the social services decided to investigate without a referral (entirely plausible), or the social services lied to the media when the story first broke, and wasn't investigating at all (far less plausible).

Either way, the fact that the couple are now visiting these kids in hospital (following widespread media outrage) is no evidence that the children are no unwated.
