Cows are cool. Especially milking cows. They have a routine kind of like our 9-5 jobs.
6-7am Farmer goes to get them from the field.
7am Queue up to be milked.
7am-9am Wait for the others to get milked.
10am Go eat more grass in field.
4pm Farmer gets them again
5pm Queue up to be milked
5pm-7pm Wait for others again.
7pm Go eat more grass in field.. Socialise, play a bit of poker. Sleep standing up. Then it's 6am again!!
They get into the routine and when we had milkers they used to just wander in when it was near milking time. They know exactly what is being done and don't seem bothered.
And early doors someone was going on about them becoming distressed after their calf is taken away.. Rubbish. They have a calf almost every year and no tears are shed when seperated. It's what they do
