CPR W3 on Hairworks(Nvidia Game Works)-'the code of this feature cannot be optimized for AMD'

Apple announces new 15-inch MacBook Pro with Force Touch and other upgrades [Updated]

their not the only thing they get their bread and butter from.
Snipped!

Indeed.

The 15-inch Pros include some upgrades that other MacBooks have gotten this year—faster PCI Express storage enabled by increasing the number of PCIe lanes used from two to four and the Force Touch trackpad are chief among them. The discrete graphics option on the high-end $2,499 version of the laptop has also been upgraded, from an Nvidia GeForce GT 750M to an AMD Radeon R9 M370X with 2GB of DDR5 RAM. The entry-level $1,999 version still comes with Intel's Iris integrated graphics.

Poorly coded unoptimised pile of dog's chuff pipe. I admit I LOLed when I found out it ran like crap on AMD hardware. Hence my surprise when it too ran like crap on Nvidia hardware.

If this is Nvidia's sad, pathetic poor attempt to make me buy Maxwell they're very much mistaken.

They can shove this game as far up their green bum as is possible.

I thought you had a Titan X??

Anyways the Witcher games are awesome W3 especially, No accounting for taste :p. It's not just about the looks. I just wish the never showed that pretend / faux pre order footage. It looks great as it is, why promise us more in the first place.. Oh well..Even with the downgrade etc, this game is awesome.

Personally I think the graphics overall are very meh, there are some really nice scenes though. The water looks awful though imo

GTA5 and shadow of mordor are much better looking imo, granted they are no where as big...

Hopefully the big patch next week will give us HD textures.

Blimey that does look bad, i remember years and years ago, there was flight sim game came out with better water than that, shed loads on here were busting their nuts over it :D

Pretty much any game from the last 8 years has better water than witcher 3! :p

Crysis 1 water still looks amazing even for today, heck the entire game's graphics and physics still looks amazing!

Still looks crap in that shot :p

But yeah the very shallow water areas are ok looking, still not as good as most other games water out there though.

His girlfriend at the start looks like one of those Realdolls.

Biggest disappointment this year.

Boom. I made the mistake of handing Nvidia a big lump of money once. Won't be doing it again.

Each to their own but I am absolutely loving The Witcher 3 and can't put it down. Looks great, plays great (albeit a little tough at times) and a great story line to boot. Good job CDPR (or nVidia) :D

Looks like something i did :D

^^

Ooooh nice  Will watch that tomorrow, thanks! The thing I loved about crysis/cryengine back then were all of the extra missions/mods by the community, not only were they great fun but they looked even better than the main game

Will need to see a 4k video of crysis 3 at max too, that game is stunning looking!

I am enjoying the game for the gameplay but not the graphics, just looks so dated in a lot of places imo, like I said some parts are stunning but those parts/moments are very rare, another screenshot of the water:

I do like the night sky though:

The shadows and lighting in foliage/indoor areas is very good though.

Apparently you can actually tweak the game enough that it looks like the initial E3 version people keep crying about.

meh too much faff :p

Will wait for the big patch next week before doing anything as chances are it will probably just do what these guys are doing or/and break all of that....

Unfortunately NVidias GPUs are not very good these days but one must do their best with these limitations.:D

Some of those transition sections look **** especially the transition from land to water and rocks to grass looks like something from a game 10 years old.

Nvida announced on the geforce forum that they found some issues with the witchers 3 and kepler cards and are working on it. They have not said though.
"
We discovered a couple of issues in regards to Kepler GPUs and are working on driver updates."
