CPR W3 on Hairworks(Nvidia Game Works)-'the code of this feature cannot be optimized for AMD'

Difference being, Rockstar kept the title gpu agnostic and didn't include any of the controversial GW's solutions=zero ****storm.

Difference being a new build with GameWorks in it did not arrive shortly before the game release.

Rockstar were keen to ensure all gamers had a good experience in GTA V and they certainly delivered on that.

Or AMD could have been more proactive and offered to help integrate things like TressFX years ago instead of only reacting to gamework tech being the Witcher 3 a couple of months before release.

If AMD are all about the best experience for gamers you would have been knocking on CDproject' s door when the game was announced or even before.

In short
So in the two years after the games announcement why did AMD sat on hands until the gameworks integration 2 months before release.

No they didn't.

No Hairworks or NVIDIA-Enhanced DirectX 11 Tessellation, they obviously decided not to use them, no surprise that they weren't added really-it's demanding enough, quad TX@720p in the grassy areas, no ta.:p

GW's has a bad smell surrounding it and rightly so.

My point being GTA V uses AMD Technology, Contact Hardening Shadows - which looks fantastic. However, this does not make it an AMD Gaming Evolved title. Hence, it's best to ask Rockstar and they will confirm. :)

Fair enough. Your still avoiding my question about AMD, TressFX and offering it to CD project earlier in its development?

Yeah I would be interested to hear what R* say about it as imo it isn't a gameworks title (at least not a full featured one, you only have nvidia PCSS and TXAA to use), also pretty sure if it was, we would see the gameworks logo on the startup screen like we do for every other gameworks title.

Gameworks it not just hairworks there lots other things like PCSS and TXAA

You being deliberately obtuse or not getting it?

R* steered well clear of the specific controversial GW's effects-Hairworks/NVIDIA-Enhanced DirectX 11 Tessellation, they don't need to take a bung/guaranteed sales-it's the biggest title of the year on PC and sells itself.

I don't know the answer, sorry.

Personally speaking, I would love to see TressFX in The Witcher 3 though as it looks great and performs well for everyone due to its open source nature. I've seen the petition which was created by fans of the game (using both sets of hardware) though, so it's clear to see that fans of the game would like to see TressFX in The Witcher 3.

I know we offered TressFX a few months back, but that's all i know so cannot offer more insight than that. :)

Honest answer to a honest question thank you.
