CPR W3 on Hairworks(Nvidia Game Works)-'the code of this feature cannot be optimized for AMD'

It is a gpu agnostic title, it isn't exclusive to any one vendor, it is simply using techs from both camps without favouring either.

GameWorks/GE exclusive titles are vendor funded, GTAV isn't either.

If that doesn't make it any clearer for you, pm him./

:)

Matt said to check with Rockstar (about GameWorks), so apparently they know what they're talking about (or why ask them). They say it's gaming evolved.

You're argument is what?
Ask Matt? Don't need to, Rockstar have told me and Matt hold their word as the truth (he said to ask them about GameWorks, if the vendor knows better than the developer he'd have said to ask Nvidia).

So developer knows better than AMD and Matt. So who are you saying now overrules the developer?

What?
Do you really not understand or is that just the best reply you could come up with?
Matt said it's not a Gaming Evolved game. Rockstar says it is. Do we assume Matt knows more about the game than Rockstar? But why would we when Matt already admitted Rockstar knows more about the game than IHVs (one of which Matt works for)?

Precisely, happens every time.

Good point I see where you're coming from...

I'll take it you don't have an actual answer.

It seems that AMD and its PR companies made a mix up last week, when they announced that Grand Theft Auto V is the latest addition to Gaming Evolved family. Apparently and according to the latest update we got from AMD's PR company, Grand Theft Auto V just has some Gaming Evolved features, including the aforementioned Contact Hardening Shadows (CHS), but is not an official Gaming Evolved title and should not be menitoned as such.

Update 4/18/2015: According to an email from AMD, GTA V is not part of the company's Gaming Evolved program. The game still supports the Contact Hardening Shadows feature.

Anyway on a lighter note,I saw this picture on another forum and thought it would lighten the mode in the thread!

It's not part of the gaming evolved program, if it was part of either program it would be clear once you load up the game. If it was part of the Gaming Evolved program, i would know about it and we would be shouting it from the roof tops. It's a vendor agnostic title that makes use of graphics technology from both sides. As i said earlier, if you doubt what i say ask Rockstar and they will confirm. :)

Yer fair enough and I was up a bit too early. I was going on one of your earlier threads from my poor memory.

But Rockstar are the ones saying it's a Gaming Evolved title, so why would I ask them?
If they say it's not, why would I believe them then if I'm not to believe them now?

On a side note, is there a reason Rockstar recommend an Nvidia GPU (presumably just for Windows Vista)?

That's technicality you literally just made up to suit your argument. It has Gamework based dynamic link libraries. It's a GameWorks title. It's under GameWorks within NVIDIA's website.

Just stop? Petty as hell. Can't you just put on a smile for 5 minutes and appreciate it has technologies from both camps without any problems. No of course not.

R* don't need to enroll in sponsorship because they can fund the extra development time themselves no trouble. GW gives incentive which is a common word in the business world. Something AMD aren't able to achieve on a game by game basis.
