Help please can't decide which cooler to go for

Tuniq tower 120
thermalright ultra 120
artic freezer 7
scythe ninja plus rev b

Your pros & cons please or other suggestions.

Out of those the tuniq is probably the best but is large so space may be an issue! I've used a scythe ninja and had no complaints and am now using a thermaltake big typhoon.

Incidentally both cool my Opteron @ 2.8ghz sufficiently!

I'd only really get the freezer 7 if you're strapped for cash. I had a freezer 64 pro (identical to the 7 apart from the mount) and it was good value but didn't offer the absolute cooling of the ninja or typhoon.

I have a tuniq tower, its a great cooler and have been very pleased with its performance. Idle temps are approx 31-35 degrees and full dual orthos is around the 43-46 degrees, pc as sig. I think the Thermalright ultra 120 plus/extreme is the best that i have seen in reviews but only by a degree or 2, dont know if its available yet either. Your choice needs to take into consideration how hot your cpu gets, how far you intend to overclock and the size of your case (these coolers are big) but out of your list i would choose either the tt120 or the thermalright 120.

I do like the look of the noctua and the flexability to use 2 fans on it. Compatability can be an issue though on mobos with heatpipes as it sits quite low compared to a tuniq.

1 Vote for the tuniq, but if you like your ears then I'd consider replacing the fan for something a bit quieter (Nexus, Yate Loon, Scythe, or Noctua)

i have the scythe ninja plus rev b on my amd 5000+ and works great but it is huge.

i have just got the freezer pro 7 for my new spare pc and it looks and fits ok.
after reading the forums and reviews on the shop i felt this would be the best for my budget.

1 vote for Ultra 120, its a very good cooler beating even the might Tuniq Tower on some review sites.

Downside? You have to buy your own fan so the total cost will most likely the highest of all those HSF

I have only good things to say about the freezer 7

Iv'e kept my overclock moderate @ 3g for my 6700 and temps are cool underload and for the money i dont know that you'd find any better

For you maybe. It cools my e6600 @ 3.6ghz 1.43V very well.

Idle ~34C
Load ~65C

i was getting 33 idle and 47 loaded with a 6400 overclocked to 3.2 with 1.45v

with my silent square i get 29 idle and 44 loaded

but yea if your on a budget its ok
