Cpu cooler

That cooler you chose (hs-011-pt) is still a good cooler and will match your build so that may be your option as the rest are a little too high.

Just had a look on a different sight and it says it 178 mm lol must be wrong.
This will definitely work with the 6700k? and gigabyte gaming 7 mobo?

So it's fairly quiet then?
Had a loud fan in my last computer and it drove me nuts lol
Its a tight squeeze on mine as it's only 2mm shorter then the limit according to the specs but hopefully will be OK.

Hi there - I am considering getting the P400 case - are you completely against an AIO water cooler? I'm novice, but had thought anout the possibility. Your research seems to suggest there's nothing suitable...

I meant as the Dark Rock Pro 3 being quieter :p

But the Phantek was quiet enough for me :)

I just worry about them leaking, I know there's no reason it should but od rather rule out any risk atall.

While I find most PC components pretty unattractive, and would rather close them up behind a solid panel rather than windowed cases - that Phanteks cooler looks cool.

I was looking around and I'm drawn to this Scythe Mugen:-

If anyone can confirm that it has the right orientation to help direct air in from the front of the case and out the back...

...then that'll go on my list.

NH-D14 is a very good cooler. It's only down side is all s have variable voltage fans except for the 2011 model which has PWM fans. Most motherboards support both so it's only a deal breaker if yours is one of the few that has only PWM control on CPU fan headers.
