Hi guys can anyone recommend a cpu cooler for a i7 6700k with gigabyte gaming 7 mobo?
My old one doesn't fit lol
I've got the p400s case and corsair vengeance ram 2x8gb
Was looking at the be quiet dark versions but nit sure they will fit

Do you want an air cooler or AIO and tell people your budget mate. The be quiet dark will fit your socket fine but there may be better air coolers if that is what you want. Wait for some of the experienced lads to reply, I like Noctua coolers myself for air.

Yeah I know the colour is a bad choice haha, they are great coolers though. There will be some cheaper that do just as good a job, if not better. Some of the lads will know which to choose. I am not sure as I have been using AIO's for years.

Both of those coolers looks great and the reviews are very good. I am gonna change to air soon.

All the big dual tower air coolers are within 2-3C of each other.
It really all comes down to looks/installation/price.
I found the BeQuiet! Dark Rock Pro 3 a pita to fit but it's silent and looks great :D
 
Well I'm not fitting it so that's not an issue lol. I like that one seems quiet and good reviews but it does say it's big.
Just worried with my ram and case that's it's going to be too snug
 
Well if it don't fit I'm screwed and £80 out of pocket
Someone has just replied on another forum saying it won't fit as the p400s has 160mm clearance and the dark pro is 163.

Yes the cooler is 163 and the case is 160. Have you ordered the cooler because if it hasn't shipped maybe worth trying to cancel it.
 
No I haven't yet luckily.
I went on ************.com as it's suppose to only use things which are compatible and it let add the dark pro 3 to the p400s, so now I'm we'll confused.
