Yes I agree , i mentioned this before about updating the bios.If you have not updated your motherboard BIOS, do that first. It could be an old bios it's running on and causing issues like this. Update your motherboard BIOS and work from there.

Have you followed the instructions manual thoughly.I've updated my BIOS i'll attempt the "problem" stick later. Trying to figure out how to get connected to the internet via homeplugs - just says unidentified network and i've gone through so many different commands / reset the network settings / Disabled / Enabled / Uninstalled drivers / Installed drivers / Changed ethernet cable. I'm so lost on how to fix this issue.

Are they paired ?
What model adapters are they
Have to ask the obvious first.
Have you got a laptop you can plug in to see if it's the adapter or the motherboard on you new build ?I was running another computer off of the same set up about 2 weeks ago and the only thing thats changed in that time is the PC.

What motherboard is it ?
Update: Tried the "problem" stick of ram again and it didn't work even with the bios update. Plugged my laptop in the same way as the pc and same thing happened, took pc downstairs to the router and plugged it straight into the back of it and it worked. My home plugs were the issue, I've pressed the reset button on both and it seems to keep a connection however i'm getting quite low speeds like 10 down 10 up instead of 60 down and 15 up. Not quite sure what's going on there.
Reboot your router
Yup, getting normal speeds now
Thanks for all your help Micky
