I need to advice, currently putting together my first pc build and undecided on my cpu, i previously decided on the 9800x3d but having some second thoughts.expected specs:9070 xt32/64gbb850 mbi will be using the pc for general multitasking in windows in for playing a variety of games, like cyberpunk, or football manager or doom etc and want to play at 1440p, i am lead to believe that at 1440p onwards the fps will be more dependent on the gpu but not sure, also looking at the 9700x. Uk Based.

It will be, but the CPU still matters to the overall framerate consistency and for some games, the X3D's cache can still make a big difference.

Currently the best gaming GPU's for value and performance are the 9070xt and 5070ti.

I don't really think the 9800X3D is justified unless you love 1080p benchmarks.
That' said, I bought the 7600x simply because of the price. The 9700x is a solid CPU though.

Now that the 7800X3D is only £320 though, well despite liking the 7600x, I would be tempted with the 7800X3D
