I need to advice, currently putting together my first pc build and undecided on my cpu, i previously decided on the 9800x3d but having some second thoughts.expected specs:9070 xt32/64gbb850 mbi will be using the pc for general multitasking in windows in for playing a variety of games, like cyberpunk, or football manager or doom etc and want to play at 1440p, i am lead to believe that at 1440p onwards the fps will be more dependent on the gpu but not sure, also looking at the 9700x. Uk Based.

Currently the best gaming GPU's for value and performance are the 9070xt and 5070ti.

I don't really think the 9800X3D is justified unless you love 1080p benchmarks.
That' said, I bought the 7600x simply because of the price. The 9700x is a solid CPU though.

Now that the 7800X3D is only £320 though, well despite liking the 7600x, I would be tempted with the 7800X3D

as a person thats owned almost ever 9070xt and also as a 9800x3d and a 9700x.

i can tell you that at 1440p 165hz gaming the average FPS when playing at native no upscaling the differance is minimal. this is with a 165fps cap set in the driver
there is a drop in 1% low of about 10% but the over all gaming experience for me didnt change in any way

the only thing i would say is as your now saving money on the CPU, and your getting 32gb of ram not 64 so again saving dont buy a base model 9070xt.
out of all the cards i have the only cards to have coil whine was the lower end cards.
the differance is £50 but the card runs silent at all times.

thanks i will have a look at the build
Wait for other to comment first before ordering as there are plenty of options open to you. For instance, there are no lights at all on this build, not even on the power button.
Think the motherboard has has status led's only.

I put the Pulse in as that is the only one i have experience with and i don't think i have any coil whine. (i am getting on a bit, so may not be able to hear it :D)
