Confirmed using the gpu-z test thing the gpu runs at pcie3. 0 x16 as it should (as I'm on a riser), however I did notice when I had the 3070ti in the second slot, it was only running at pcie4.0 x4. Mobo manual says they're both x16 pcie4.0 slots.

I can't put the 3080 in the slot to test again it's too big (unless I take everything out of case).

You think issues I'm having would happen if both pcie slots were damaged from yanking out the 3080ti?
Because it WAS right after I put in the 3070ti, NOT right after updating bios and adding 5800x and during the 20-30hrs of gaming on the 3080ti that I noticed these issues to be honest. Otherwise I never would have even sold the 3080ti.

I've got many more vids, also same things happening in other games, but quality is really bad on upload site there and can't be arsed unless you guys wanna see. Or have my phone number to WhatsApp easily lol.
I just checked you can only send pics on steam.
 
Ok I re-did the mobo bios install from EZ flash in the bios, and uninstalled old drivers using DDU, and now when installing the new driver it fails.

Graphics driver - failed
HD audio driver - not installed

As before there was no option to install physx which I thought was odd
 
But it did let me install the older drivers from June 2021

Still with exact same issues.

Someone else on the forums thinks both the pcie ports have been damaged in the yank to get the 3080ti out. Which would explain why I noticed these issues within minutes after putting the 3070ti in, installing newest drivers and playing.

Update for anyone interested...

The bios flashback has caused all kinds of issues... I'm starting to think this mobo is very screwed and ripping the 3080ti did damage.

So took me hours to get the bios rolled back (kept saying "file is not a bios file" or something (it was). Turns out I can only jump back like 2 steps in a bios backdate by the looks of it. I tried like 6 steps back, 5, 4, 3 then worked on 2.

After that, it wouldn't let me install gpu driver... Kept on failing.

Backdated bios a few more steps back, then on win login "it looks like something went wrong with your pin, click here to set another".
Except when I do that, type in my password then mobile no, I never get a text to reset it.

I turn the security boot thing in bios to uefi mode, same issue. Change it to "other os" which is was on before, same issue.

Reset windows... same issue, no pin, or text.

Currently using a laptop to DL the windows media creation... Hopefully can then install the gpu driver. If not, mobo or GPU = deffo screwed.
