CPU Pins

Nah, i straightened all the pins tonite and its still the same. go the pins perfect and all same hight but still no signal so rebuilt my old rig. ohh well nev mobo on payday

Fixed a Gigabyte G33 board that had quite a few bent pins - 25 or so.

Just take your time and don't force them.

I used a paperclip and a watchmakers flat head screwdriver.

Lastly.... good luck! :)

I've never had to do it. But I've heard a propelling pencil with the lead removed works well.

My fav tools =)

Easier to do it on a CPU, but certainly do-able on a motherboard, just make sure you are very patient.

Good luck!

EDIT: D'oh, you've already done it *learns to read entire thread*

I thought I'd damaged my 775 board. Rather than being pins they appeared to be more like little folded over springs. I snagged a few and twisted them out of place. Sorted it with a pair of tweezers.

i took my AMD CPU to a watch repair shop when i dropped it and bent some pins, they didnt charge me anything and saved me £100 :) so i gave them £10 for appreciation

Wired my old system back up with everything new that i have, cant utalise the 4 sticks of ram as i only have two banks for it.

Second gfx card is sitting with its thumb up its bum in the box too, managed to get water cooling on tho
