Crackdown - pleasantly surprised.

To me, Crackdown was one of the best, most well-rounded ggames around. So much to do, and loads of variety. In my top 5 games of 2007 list! It was just so much fun.

Id always thought about getting this after playing the demo but the full price seemed a bit steep if i didnt like it, but after reading this ive just picked it up for £9 so even if its crap ive spent less than i would on a night out :D

We'd never have mario kart DS, new mario bros, mario galaxy, halo 2/3, cod4, PGR4, forza 2, pikmin 2 etc.

Yes, but we would have a lot of other original games.

Take for example when Pikmin came out, a very original and novel game, or Monkeyball, great when they come out, but do we want to keep playing the same things over and over again?

The only real follow ups i enjoy are when the generations move on and things can be done to genuinly enhance the game, such as going from GTA to GTA in 3d.

I really enjoyed COD4, again it was a depature from COD3 and 2, which were both effectively the same game as COD and medal of honour before it. Dont get me wrong, I do play sequels, but i prefer original titles. Stuff like Mario Galaxy, while i have played a bit, really didnt do much for me, but maybe thats just me being old and having been round the block a few times.
