Crafting in RPG's/ Adventure games

Is there any good crafting abilities in any RPG's or Adventure games that anyone could recommend me please?

In Morrowind & Oblivion you can enthuse weapons and armour with different effect/abilities... customizing it in a way (You need lots of money or magic skill though). And you can make your own spells and potions out of ingrediants you find anywhere all over the world.

If you want crafting you need to go with Ultima online.

SWG used to have a good crafting system, but, having not played in a couple of years who knows what its like now!

How constructive, are you a troll? Do give eve online a try if you would like to focus exclusively on crafting, or as mentioned above minecraft is an interesting concept as well.

I get the impression he means single player RPGs, but the interesting crafting is generally limtied to MMOs.

You can't craft with combat characters anymore, you actually have to pick a trader character, who does nothing but craft. And to get around the resource collection issue, mobs just ignore trader characters. Face, meet palm
