Cramp In Bed

Had it a fair few times in my teens. Early on it often resulted in shouting and crying because I simply didn't know how to deal with it. :p

Not had it in years though.

only 30 seconds? I've had it for hours on end on very odd occasions.. nothing helps, heat pad, massage, laying down on cold kitchen tiles (cold is supposed to help)... and yes, it is a MOFO.

I run the risk of getting the kind of calf cramp that various people have described every time I have a good stretch. It doesn't feel like the normal kind of cramp you get when you do a lot of exercise; more like the muscle going into spasm and trying to tear itself apart.

It's been happening to me for years, the most recent occasion being just a couple of days ago. It is more frequent when I'm half asleep than when I'm awake and able to catch it before it goes too far. Aside from the excruciating pain at the time, I'm also left with a calf that is sore to touch and painful to extend fully, sometimes for several days afterwards.

I'm the same. Even 'catching it' hurts like a mofo too.

Happens when I overstretch mainly in bed. Happened once at rugby in both legs at the same time, was clearing out a ruck and I extended both my legs to push and wham! PAIN!
