Cramp omg

absolute worst cramp in the world:

when you yawn and you get a cramp in the back of your chin/top of the neck area.
Not only is it a serious pain but you look like an absolute fool as well when you get it :D

Hah..yeah I've had that. A couple of times the muscle under my chin actually popped out and i had to push it back in. Gross.

Try getting cramp in both your calf and thigh a the same time... in both legs :/ That was some of the worst pain I have ever felt. Both legs stuck at about 120 degrees and unable to move either way, it took ten minutes of rubbing from 2 medics before I could even straighten then, let alone walk.:(

I've only ever got cramp in the morning once, and that was caused by doing a lot of excercise the day before. I do seem to get cramp resonably regularly when I excercise though, probably because I don't train hard enough and then expect my body to take me miles without complaint.:p

Used to get it in the school pool which was ******** cold! Bouncing up and down since it was about head depth in the shallow end, while playing water volleyball induced immense pain in the calfs.

I also used to get it in my middle toe. Would just suddenly stop and it felt like it was dislocated. Not nice at all!

I got pins in both my hips and i often get joint cramp and No Swearing! me that REALLY hurts....I hate it...Apparently they say to relax your muscle...have they have had cramp?? Its improssible to relax lol

Spot on! I get them often.

I hate cramp in general. When I get it, it makes me wonder how much I'd be cacking myself if it happened while I was swimming.

Yeah get that a lot :( Not fun

But last night I had the worst cramp I've ever had. Stretched out my legs and all of a sudden had the excruciating pain in the bottom of my foot ever

Rolled around like a fool for ages trying to take my mind off the pain, sat up and it just got worse, so I let out a girly little yelp, just had to lie there and wait for it pass :( Was way too painful to walk it off

My mate once got this (he's lanky like me) so bad in traffic once he had to get out the car and walk around. This was in the middle of a main road with everyone beeping at him! We absolutely p*ssed ourselves at the time laughing, but I know how painful it can be.

I used to get cramp in my calfs a lot.. one night I woke up with it in my left leg so lept out of bed onto my right, unfortunatley the right leg had cramp to.. so my right leg gives way and i fall and hit my head on my wardrobe.. I came round to a rather concerned other half...

Sometimes i get a rondom foot cramp which is really sore, I dont like the feeling of not knowing when it will go away. Isnt cramp a sign that you need more salt in your diet?

The worst type of cramp is when you're swimming out of your depth!

Only other time I've had it bad is when I was bodyboarding in St.Ives in October - had been in the water for well nearly 2 hours and I wasn't wearing a winter suit. Tried to get past the breaking waves and strained my calf slightly too much - was agony and to help things I lost my board so had to pull it in off the cord whilst trying to get rid of the cramp!

Cramp is awesome I think.

I always laugh when it happens to me, its like the most stupid pain you can get which makes it funny but its also stupidly painfull which makes it twice as funny.

I remember getting it in one of my legs when I was sitting down and as soon as I stood up I got it in the other leg and I just fell on the floor laughing while in extreme pain.

Cramp for the win I say.

When i was in Zambia 2 years ago, i got terrible cramp one night in both calves simultaneously, it was agony :( and it hurt pretty much the whole day after.

Same here :D bar the rofl part

Cant say i have ever woken up because of a cramped muscle in all of my years, im surprised its so common. I have woken up because of a dead arm/leg a few times before because of the way i slept but before now i didnt know muscle cramps could wake you up

The opposite usually. If you don't get cramp, you're not exercising enough. ;-)

Waking with cramp is dire, but it's worse IMO when you wake up and lie there puzzled for a few moments, wondering why you've woken up. Then you realise your calf aches and... OMG, the cramp monster's coming and there's *NOTHING* you can do about it! Just grit your teeth and try not to scream like the proverbial girl.

I'm going to have nightmares now. :-)

Not at all. I do gym 5 times a week, 2 weight and 3 cardio. I'm far from unfit and weigh a good weight (162lb, 6ft)

I suppose my body just doesn't get cramps exercise or not. I've been extremely healthy and i've been pretty unhealthy, never had cramps.
