Crashed Helicopter registered to Colin McRae

I've been Colin Mcrae for many a year on the Playstation, basically my boy hood idol. Such shocking news, and along with the two children as well. Not a good day :(

Tragic thing to have happened.

With the news only mentioning 4 persons, does that mean McRae was piloting the aircraft?

RIP :(

Very sad news indeed but it must be even worse for the families of the additional passengers, all the news items and respects going to Colin McRae and son and hardly a mention about them.

Having lived in Lanark for 20 years in my youth and his Brother living 5 houses along from my Mother for a good few year's, they were a well respected family and always gave time for everyone around. I used to go by the family house as a shortcut from School if I missed the bus, had a great banter with his father Jimmy, who will be gutted. Always used to say to me, "missed the bus again wee man....." He was always outside doing something, cutting grass or tinkering on a car. Gutted for him, only ever met Colin once in Lanark in the pub, nice guy :( Gutted for his whole family and other invloved including Jimmy's Grandson....

Sad sad day for the family. Two guys apparently saw a blue helicopter flying very quickly over our work(hamilton) heading in the direction of lanark but from what i read they were flying from Quarter(small village at the very top of hamilton) back to Lanark.

What a legend.

Was watching a programe the other day on rallying where McRae smashed up his focus about 3 times, one he removed and fixed a bent suspension arm with a boulder, set a fastest stage time, rolled it and crashed again, you couldn't recognise the car and he was still thrashing it through the stages!

Awsome driver, will be missed.

R.I.P McRae.
