You lot are definitely a bad influence :) was torn between this and the 4GB KFA2 but couldn't think what I would do with the extra 2GB (as this if for my HTPC).

I read up loads on this, and as far as I could see the extra 2GB wouldn't really have much benefit from a single card like this. I wrestled with this for a while assuming more == better. But having read information until my eyes bled this seemed like the best deal...especially as it's just for your HTPC...I'm getting it for my rig :/

Thanks for that, always useful to know these things.

I say HTPC but it also doubles up as my "10 foot" gaming rig for any game I can play with a controller on the sofa :)

No worries dude :) It's a tricky thing to work out, and to be honest I'm still not 100% sure, but from what I understand, with the potential exception of uber modded games like Skyrim, a single 670 series can't generally push hard enough to make use of all the VRAM, If they were in SLi it would be a different matter.

There is a great deal of discussion about this around the web but this thread is more for those who are eagerly awaiting their new card.

*high pitched girly voice* eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :D

Hi there

Hope you guys bagged one. :)

I'm already skint, and going to a festival on Thursday, just managed to resist the 670 PE, and now you put the 680 up for super cheap as well.....

if you manage to bag the gigabyte windforce 670 at a decent price, I'm gonna have to cave for some SLI loving ;)
