I was talking about the Red Devil 5700XT specifically.. its fine though, my V56 is still strong but lower prices would have me upgrade sooner. Im sure others feel the same.

In regards to what? I assume you mean the 2070S which typically starts around £489 now for an FE or low end card? The very best 5700 XT now cost less than entry level 2070S and the cheapest 5700 XT are over £100 cheaper than cheapest 2070S.

Only by virtue the reference design has had the biggest price drop. The differential (excluding Asus Tax) has always been about £30 to £50.

That's a more thorough way of doing it granted. But looking at the cooler on the Gigabyte card you could just wrap the thing up on masking tape and just spray the shroud in situ. Unless you want white fans as well, and that's a totally different kettle of fish (i.e. vinyl dye not plasti dip or paint).

But we digress...

You can always pick an airbrush or a spray can. You do not have to remove the whole cooler (heatsink) and void warranty, just the hood.
