So was I but I was looking at a 470 for Sli and now I'm buggered if I'm buying a 470 when the 480 is so close in price and there lies the dilemma.

Same thing im thinking, i coulkd get another 470 and SLI it with my current one. But then im thinking, GTX480 then sell my 470 when it arrives. After that the 480 will probably only set me back £50 - £60

Is this a pre-order only proce or can i call into the store next week and pick one up?

If you don't mind more heat, noise and and power consumption the 480 is the most powerful.

not true, the 570 is on par with the 480. 480 better in some games with the 570 better in others

Fair enough, It's still quite a bit cheaper though and has more VRam .

you're a little late to the party, already had a few people point that out

580 up by £10 and 570 up by £4, many of the older ones(480 in particular) have had price cuts.

I'm tempted by the 480 as I have upgraded my monitor from a 24" 1920 x 1200 to a 27" 2560 x 1440(dell u2711 for £570 from the flea bay), have a 5850 which will struggle but think I'll be holding off untill the new cards are released(hopefully by then I'll have a job as currently unemployed). have a p5q deluxe motherboard so a 480 sli option is out of the question.
