No, so long as you don't brick the gpu in the process. Just remember to flash the stock bios back if you ever rma. I think thats how ocuk see it.

The coolest air running 290 out there i think.
Yes it has two bios so you have a backup (bios switch 2) if you bodge bios 1. If you take a backup first though you can always reflash to bios 1 to get things working again.

Incidentally if anyone wants the tri-x factory clocked BIOS, im happy to take mine off and email it if you send me a trust, wont be til tonight though when im home from work.

Is there any way this can break your GPU?
Unlikely. Its a 290 Pro Tri X bios with the core at 1000mhz instead of stock 947mhz. I can't remember if the memory was overclocked, but if it was it was not by much.

What benefits are there of flashing over just OC'ing it a little?
None. I would not bother personally. Just run at stock and overclock if you need more fps. Any overclock set by Sapphire you will be able to reach EASILY yourself.

Some questions though:
1) Is this voltage locked in anyway?
2) Would I be likely to run into any problems running this on an older x58 system?
3) Am I likely to get away with running one of these and a 7970 in a x58 system with a 750W PSU (corsair modular).
