Crazy slow transfer speeds from SSD to SSD, that bench as though fast?

    Hi,

Currently running a Crucial 750GB SSD and Samsung 1TB SSD. Both, when benchmarked are performing as good, if not better than they should with speeds etc

I am trying to copy a 45gb ffolder from my os drive (crucial) to my 2nd hard drive (samsung ssd plugged into the board on a sata port) and getting CRAZY slow speeds of between 250kb/s to 500kb/s

Why would these drives perform fast in benchmarks yet so slow with data transfer?

Lots of small files are slower. Files sized in kbs are dead slow.
    That's the probable reason :)
