CRC errors and corrupt downloads

Yeah well my friend also has this problem on his router but it's not as serious for him, he's positive it's his router however. I wanted to be sure. I will be buying a new one tomorrow.

Any suggestions for a decent one around £30-40 mateys?

How about 'Netgear DG834UK ADSL Router'. Could stretch to that. Any good?

(I'm on Virgin Media 20mb cable, is this one just ADSL?)

It needs to have wireless by the way.

I have little knowledge about cable generally, I'm sure someone else will have an idea.. I think some people prefer to have a cable modem which plugs into a router rather than having an all-in-one.

You can't use an ADSL router on Cable - most routers will only work with one or the other - very few support both.

Just thought I'd recommend trying something before buying a router.

The cat cable between the modem and your router. You could try replacing that first

It's about 20 feet of cable though, would be a pain in the arse to replace for nothing, would be easier to do it with a new router so i'll get that first. But thanks for the wise words.
