No!

I'm not 100% sure where it came from, the only thing I can think of is when benchmarking companies, KnowledgeBase may not have been present.

So what would happen if you change the names? Won't it confuse your customers for a while?

Won't this cost time and money?

It seems like you are trying to solve an non-existing problem and with the potential to create hassle for yourself in the process, at least in the short term.

Thanks for your input.

It helps me give them some ideas as to why we should leave it. We're due to upgrade to SP2013 in 9-12 months maybe something will come out of that, but I agree, it's not needed.

This was a good feedback exercise

If you're using sharepoint for it at the moment, rename it to "Sharepoint".
Teaching users the correct names for things makes everybody's life a lot easier.
