Cricket World Cup thread

Well, the wickets aren't falling fast but the run rate isn't anything special for Australia either. England can win this, and a couple of wickets would help rattle them a bit.
 
Can't see us winning now actually. Australia seem really comfortable and I cant see where a wicket is gonna come from. 83 from 96 required.
 
For the last year or two, people have been saying how good a captain Vaughan has been, apart from the ashes we have actually gone backwards :(
 
yeh we were ticking along nicely until mahmood came back into the attack, i hope they can carry on the impatus of just gettin ponting out.

Thats an absolutely brilliant quote, but seriously, 117 balls, thats a strike rate of 219, slightly more than 13 an over.

Now if the next headline could be something about Simon Jones taking 8 for 20 or something like that we'd be back up and running. Either way I think tresco might be back for the summer.

I'm rather looking forward to the first test at lords, got decents seats and all!
 
Was quite an interesting game yesterday, at one point England had the game in their hands but as usual they let the Aussies get back into it. Ponting had another blinder of a match, again guiding the Aussies to victory. Was pleased to see Symmonds get back into some osrt of form with the bat..although he didnt do much with the ball but he really smacked the English bowlers around a bit. Reminded me of Boom Boom Afridi with some of the strokes he played.

Good century by KP, been a long time since he got his last century but if it wasnt for his innings then England would have been in serious trouble. Bell also had a pretty good knock as well. But Flintoff and Vaughan are your major flops with the bat, both of them just cant seem to get any runs on the board.

Dunno if England will make the semi's as this stage, they have 3 pretty tough matches coming up and i think they are going to need some help from the other teams if they want to get into the semi's.

How can he be? The clutz has barely played and when he has, rarely gets into double figures. TBH I think he is just too injury prone. Time to give the captaincy to someone like Strauss.
 
Make that 25/2 :(...really like the way the Bangladeshi's have been playing in this tournament. Their victory over SA was amazing...but i have a feeling that England should win this comfortably although i want to see the Bangladeshi's cause another upset...
 
40-4 now and not looking as though they will pass 150. Should be in the bag for England this one but it's far from over yet.
 
Make that 47/5 now...Bangladesh are getting hammered out there by the English. At this rate they will be lucky to make 100 if anything.
