Critical ERROR !

OK guys I need some serious help here, I recently built my new PC (well pleased) and as my OS drive I have used 2 WD raptors 150GB but yesterday I kept getting a pop-up saying critical error on one of the drives then today it completely crashed on me and no-matter how many times I tried booting it nothing, so I opened it up replaced the lead and its working (for now anyway)
but the little there are slight changes like my name has gone and it say administrator on logging,
The thing is I had this with another raptor when I built the system and I just ended up replacing it and it was fine .

So if anyone has any ideas can you let me know .

If you're getting critical errors only off one drive it could be doofed.

Could you try the drive in another system?

this is the thing when I got the first 2 drives I set them up as a raid storage drive in my old system just to chck them out and they ran for months it was just when I stuck XP on them

Could it be the fact that one is the X version, I know everyone says the only difference is the perspex but I remeber seeing in custom PC a while back the X version racked up a slightly higher score which even they couldnt explain.
