Critical Role: The Legend of Vox Machina - Animated D'&'D on Amazon - Now on Season 3

I'm liking EXU:Calamity, Ep3 was extremely good. I've seen some bits of the none-CR cast in their Dimension 20 stuff (Brendan, Aabria, Lou etc) but hadn't seen much of it. I crammed the EXU series just before The Calamity without realsing where it sat in the timeline which was a little confusing at first seeing Campaign 3 cast and Calamity mentioned despite being eons apart :D

Pleasantly surprised, it's really really good.

Old and 2nd addition so no idea where the pistols come from though. My only small minor nagging and bards will always be ****.

Yeah gunslinger is a Mercer homebrew because guns exist in his world. There are also optional rules in official 5e dnd books though. Don't think the main setting for 5e officially has guns though.

Had forgotten about this thread before you guys bumped it yesterday, so tried it out last night (the Amazon animated series) and it's brilliant, watched 5 episodes and am loving it!

If I get chance I'll check out the youtube stuff, as I got into a group playing D&D and then Rolemaster in the early 90's and one campaign we did lasted ~2-3 years, playing 3 times a week! So I know what it's like lol. A lot does come down to how good the DM is and ours was amazing.

Mercer and co make for a very entertaining watch :D

Just came across this and love it. On episode 5 or 6.

Any other shows like this? Enjoyed Castlevania and The league if legends shows.

I'm actually finding animation better than the dross we are getting in the live action.

Season 2 starts January '23 and is based around the Chroma Conclave arc. The S1 arc was based on the Briarwood story and based on about fifteen 3-4hr live streams, whilst the S2 Chroma Conclave arc took about 40 live steams to tell so far more material to pick and choose from and I think it'll expand into a 3rd season (which Amzaon have already agreed to pay for IIRC).

Here's the teaser dropped by Amazon for Comic Con last week.

Latest Trailer -

There's a few slightly "spoilery" bits which lets you know whats coming if you've already seen the livestreams but it still looks like those bits will be epic :)
