Crossfire GPU's only getting 40-60% Usage on certain games?

The thing is, your gpu's will rarely hit maximum usage, apart from when you're benching. It'll work hard enough for the settings you've select. You've probably got vsync on to, which means it'll only push to 60fps (depending on your monitor).

See what you are saying, I play pretty much all my games with V-Sync off. Some games get higher usage than others, normally more when they are more demanding.

Things can go wrong over time, it's more likely to be drivers than anything else, that the driver crashes to me signify that.

Might it be worth using Driver Fusion and deleting all CCC Drivers and re-installing as I did not do that when I fitted my new GPU?
Fitted my GPU without doing anything before, got onto the desktop and it automatically enabled CrossfireX.

Tom

Even Driver fusion never helped me when I had serious problems.
You can give it a whack.
I'd install Driver fusion, turn off your internet (To prevent it downloading drivers)
Uninstall drivers, restart, then driver fusion, restart, then install fresh 13.10.
Then connect back on the internet.

I'd still always go for the fresh Windows install before splashing money though, but that's just me.

What was the problem you had?

Don't know if this is different because it is not in-game it is a benchmark but I am getting a constant 80-98% Usage in Unigine Valley.

Tom

Unigine are ridiculously GPU limited.
I'm surprised it dips to 80.

A Pentium can pretty much max out a Titan on Unigine.

Ummm, strange!
But like Matt said earlier I should still see a performance increase even though I am using an i5 but currently I am seeing pretty much nil to little performance increase. I will try to uninstall and re-install drivers later on because something is not right here.

Football Manager wouldn't work in 3D match engine, no matter what I did :p

And this is why i struggle to take Martini seriously. He had a crashing issue with the only game that uses 0% usage of a gpu. Amen. :D

My usage dips in valley as well as different scenes load. Normally between 90-99%.

Have you ran heaven valley? See what scores you get and compare to the threads score. Bare in mind most cards have been OC'd, so their scores will be higher.

xTommy run a comparison. Here's what i scored with my 7950's @ stock 925/1250. Use the extreme HD preset in Unigine Valley and post your benchmark score.

Right just ran Valley at 925/1250, so the same clocks as you Matt and achieved:

GPU1: 93%
GPU2: 97%
FPS: 71.4
Score: 2987

Looks about right with your cpu clocked slightly slower. :)

Maybe your x16 x4 setup is not optimal.

Did not want to buy a new Motherboard just for a new GPU so wanted to try it with this, honestly thought that x4 (PCI_E 2.0 x8) would be fine, just a little less performance.
Surely the Motherboard is not causing this problem?

You're on pci-e 3.0 and it should be fine i would have thought as its faster than pci-e 2.0. The scores look about right to me. Stop worrying and enjoy your gpu's.
