Crossfire only using 50%-60% of each GPU in games?

So I'm new to crossfire again. Running benchmarks etc both cards max out. When it comes to games both cards hover around 50%-60% and causes stutter and fps lag. Is there a way to get the cards to use more of their performance closer to 100%?

Titanfall and BF4 are the worse offenders. BF4 does it in DX11 or Mantle...

When I had crossfire about 4-6 months ago Titanfall was bad for crossfire, even after they had patched it + driver updates. BF4 should be decent with crossfire, have you tried unparking your cores and seeing if that helps?

Titanfall is capped at 60fps, so you could be hitting the frame cap and hence the reason for the low usage but BF4 should see both of your 270Xs scaling well in Mantle.

Cheers for the post bud, cores unparked and latest drivers. These cards def have the performance because it hovers around 50fps even at 50% GPU use, it's like something is throttling them...

Yeah tis weird, Mantle was just as bad as Direct X, like something is holding them back. even at 50% they are giving 50fps so the performance is there it's just not being utilized..

That latest BF4 patch has regressed CF a bit.

Cheers guys, I don't think the CPU is holding them back. It's a stock i7 4790K, should be fast enough?

I've managed to get the fps up by uninstalling old drivers and reinstalling latest WQHL.

Thing is there is this weird microstutter thing even when fps are high. I've turned off ULPS. I think I might just call it quits and go back to one GPU :P

Yeah, I almost went the same way. But then I took the time to sort out the afterburner/riva tuner overlay for in game info. It really helps me get the max load on each card, on different games with tweaking.

You can see where bottlenecks are. Idk without seeing it happening, maybe your CPU is bottle necking, or it might look like it is but the cause is rooted elsewhere.

It is hard to explain, lol.

and..
What usage do you get in Heaven Benchmark? I get between 97% and 99%.
