Crossfire poor GPU scaling with BFBC2, very strange fix that worked for me

I spent hours and hours researching for a possible fix and found nothing other than "disable crossfire"

My issue was that bc2 was only using about 40% of each GPU which is clearly very poor and happens to be a very common problem

I tired every possible solution until I found someone said there was an issue with steam overlay, I disabled it but found no improvement.

I decided to install BC2 via Origin and believe it or not, it solved the problem, I knew it wasnt a hardware issue as other games ran perfectly well. With Origin my GPU usage is up to about 70-80% each, frame rate tops out at 120 with vsync most the time with everything on max and direct x 11

If anyone else has this problem plesae try this and let me know the results, hopefully this is the issue.
 
Did you read the post lol? It obviously isn't a problem, Im over the moon with it, when I run BC2 with steam I get about 40fps, when I run it in Origin I get 120fps on the same settings and I have a 120hz monitor, thats why I want 120fps...

All I was saying, if people have the same issue, try running the game on Origin not Steam
 
Sounds like a problem with steam and crossfire compatibly which seems strange, however when BFBC is not a steam game so there may be conflicts from running it through steam.
Personally I have had so many problems with BFBC2, looping sound and hard lock ups, that I simply dont play it which is a shame as i loved the first one

Every. Damn. Time I play BC2 it locks up, sound loops and requires a hard reset.

do you use any of the Profile drivers ?
i am using the 11.8 drivers and i am freezing if i am near any explosions or a lot off smoke nades grrrrrr
 
I have done some reading into it and it seems like that realtek audio chips somehow conflict with punkbuster. You can play jsut fine on none punkbuster servers but then some auto aim
ba***rd head shots you with a shot gun from across the map 15 times in a row and you give up :)

Had the same problem, changing the audio mixing or sampling rate (something like that) sorted it. BC2 runs fine for me in steam, CF 6950's.
